Peningkatan Mutu Pelayanan Kesehatan Melalui Program Fellowship International Society for Quality in Health Care
Abstract
Keselamatan pasien masih menjadi topik bahasan penting di dunia kesehatan. Sampai saat ini keselamatan pasien masih menjadi perhatian global seperti disampaikan oleh World Health Organization serta masih terdapat tantangan yang signifikan dalam penerapan kebijakan dan praktik keselamatan pasien. Secara definitif, keselamatan pasien dapat djelaskan sebagai ilmu di bidang pelayanan kesehatan yang menerapkan pengetahuan tentang keselamatan untuk mencapai tujuan terlaksananya sistem pelayanan kesehatan yang dapat dipercaya. Keselamatan pasien juga merupakan atribut sistem pelayanan kesehatan yang dapat meminimalkan kejadian dan dampak, memaksimalkan proses pemulihan, serta meminimalkan efek samping1. Pada proses penerapan keselamatan pasien diperlukan tim yang ‘patient safety minded’ dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan. Selain itu juga memerlukan aktivitas kolaboratif dari berbagai disiplin baik di area klinis (klinisi, perawat, farmasi, dan lainnya). maupun non klinis (manajemen informasi, manajemen perlengkapan dan peralatan, dan area lainnya) dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan.
